I retired from my university post in 2023. My research mainly concerned optical processes in semiconductors, particularly coherent quantum processes such as Raman scattering, degenerate four-wave mixing and adiabatic rapid passage. These were used to probe basic aspects of the electronic structure of numerous semiconducting materials.
